Atlantic Pacific’s Vice Chair
Christine Nichols – Vice Chair of The London Freight Club
We are delighted to announce that Atlantic Pacific Director – Christine Nichols – has recently been appointed as Vice-Chair of The London Freight Club.
Chrissy, as she is better known, is a founding member of Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics and has been one of our directors since 2005. With over 40 years industry experience, she has worked in all modes of transport, including overseas postings in Australia, New Zealand and Cyprus.
Chrissy becomes the first ever female Vice Chair of The London Freight Club, after joining as a member in 2013 and being a committee member since 2016.
The London Freight Club was established nearly 70 years ago, in 1953, and is a well known vehicle for members of the shipping and freight industry to network, and has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for charities.
During her time as Vice-Chair and subsequently Chair, Chrissy hopes to encourage more women to become members of the club and raise the profile of women within the logistics industry.
Also present, at a London gathering to commemorate the news, was former West Ham, Everton, Leicester and England footballer – Tony Cottee.
Tony is an ambassador for Atlantic Pacific Group’s ‘Unity in Community’ charitable arm and offered his heart felt congratulations to Chrissy on her wonderful achievement.
As far as the Atlantic Pacific Group is concerned, needless to say the whole team are extremely proud of Chrissy and will be doing their best to support her in the Vice Chair role during the next 12 months.
