Christine Hosts Her Third Event as LFC Lady Chairman
Christine Nichols of Atlantic Pacific hosted her third lunch this year as Lady Chairman of the London Freight Club.
Following ex professional sportsmen Toby Flood and Teddy Sheringham, the speaker this time around was bestselling author, widely quoted commentator, and former RAF Flight Lieutenant – John Nichol.
As a navigator during the 1991 Gulf War, John was shot down, taken prisoner, tortured and paraded on television, after the first low-level daylight raid of the conflict. His story was fantastically well received and ended with a standing ovation.
As usual, the event raised funds for worthy causes, and the nominated charities on this occasion were the Orchid Cancer Appeal and Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust, for which Christine is a Trustee.
