Containership Blocking The Suez Canal

Container Ship Blocking The Suez Canal

The containership EVER GIVEN is currently stuck across the Suez Canal, aground at both bow and stern and blocking all other ships from passing.

There are fears that the canal could be blocked for a few days, as attempts to move her have so far failed.

The suez canal is the main route for the Asia/European trade and queues of vessels, unable to pass in either direction, are already forming.

If this situation is prolonged then there will inevitably be further disruption to schedules.

We will be monitoring the situation closely and if not resolved shortly, we will update you accordingly. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact a member of our team to discuss further.
