Football Meets The London Freight Club
Christine Nichols chaired her sixth London Freight Club lunch this week with guest speakers Stuart Pearce MBE and Unity In Community’s Patron Tony Cottee, who both talked about their fantastic careers in football.
The lunch was well attended and thousands of pounds were raised for the club’s chosen charities Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust and the Orchid Cancer Appeal for Prostate Cancer.
Stuart gained 78 caps playing for England, scoring 5 goals from left back. He is perhaps best remembered for his passionate celebration after scoring a penalty for England during the 1996 European Championships against Spain.
Tony is a West Ham, Everton and Leicester goal-scoring legend who played for England seven times. He is also a patron of Atlantic Pacific Group’s ‘Unity In Community’ foundation, which supports charitable causes close to our hearts.
As always, a great day was had by all and some of the images from the day can be found below. Just click any image to expand it.
