Hares About Town Launch Event

The Hares About Town will be making their first appearances from midnight tonight and the Atlantic Pacific team are already out and about putting the finishing touches to the logistics.

Monday night was the official launch event for sponsors and our Hare (Hare-y Biker) can be seen accompanied by three of our company directors  in the image above.

Hares About Town is a spectacular ‘Wild-In-Art’ public event that is weaving its way across Southend-on-Sea this summer.

Hare sculptures, each one individually designed by a different artist, form a free, fun, family-friendly trail of discovery for the Essex public to explore and enjoy!

The hares About Town official app will drive visitors around the trail, with rewards available as each hare’s details are ‘collected’. Other mini events will be launched, promising great days out for families and all.

We are delighted to be sponsors and logistics partners for this great event in aid of Haven’s Hospices – a wonderful organisation very close to our hearts.

They provide palliative nursing and supportive care to adults and children living with complex or incurable conditions.

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, their hospices remained open to care for patients at the end of their life and they supported the NHS by taking patients in from hospitals to free up beds.

Haven’s must raise over £81,000 each week to be there for everyone who needs them.

Funding has become more difficult during the pandemic, therefore the Hare’s About Town project is an important part of this year’s fund-raising.
