Hares About Town

Atlantic Pacific are proud sponsors and logistics partners for the 2021 event – Hares About Town. A spectacular public art event, in partnership with Wild in Art, that will weave its way across Southend on Sea from July for 10 weeks in 2021.

Hare sculptures, each one individually designed by an artist and forming a family-friendly trail of discovery for people to explore and enjoy, with the utilmate aim of raising vital funds for the Havens Hospices charity.

Havens Hospices provides palliative nursing and supportive care to adults and children living with complex or incurable conditions.

Their specialist Care Teams support them and their family living throughout illness, death and bereavement, in the comfort of their own home and through our hospice services, Fair Havens, The J’s and Little Havens.

With the outbreak of coronavirus, fund raising has been challenging, which makes the Hares About Town event very important.

Our hare has been designed by local artist – Neil Fendell – who is well known for capturing the essence of Essex towns and villages in his unique poster designs. Neil named him Hare-y Biker and you can follow Hare-y on social media by clicking the links below.
