IT Outages Starting To Impact Logistics
A major IT outage, which is currently affecting many banks, media outlets, airlines, and even hospitals, is leading to some disruption in logistics today.
Flights have been grounded at some international airports, some airlines have had to stop flying altogether, and there are also reports of issues at ocean freight ports.
The issue, which is believed to be linked to a cyber security update, is affecting cloud services and has caused outages with some logistics software providers.
Microsoft says it is taking “mitigation actions” and there is currently no information as to when the problem may be resolved.
