Johnno Tackles The London Freight Club
England’s only Rugby World Cup winning captain – Martin Johnson – was the guest speaker at the London Freight Club this week, hosted by Atlantic Pacific’s Christine Nichols, the club’s first Lady Chairman.
With the 2023 Rugby World Cup currently being played in France, the timing of the event could not have been better and Martin certainly shared some interesting thoughts about this year’s competition.
Martin, or ‘Johnno’ as he is known in the rugby community, was England’s captain that lifted the 2003 World Cup after beating Australia in the final in their own backyard.
England fans fondly remember the Jonny Wilkinson drop goal that clinched the win in extra time, after Johnno had dynamically carried the ball to within range.
