King’s Award For Enterprise Presented To Atlantic Pacific
On the 16th of October His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex, Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst, presented Mr Ashley Nichols and Mrs Christine Nichols, Directors of Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics Ltd with the Kings Award For Enterprise – International Trade.
The presentation was made at Friern Manor in Dunton, Essex and VIP guests included Councillor Victoria Joseph, Deputy Mayor of Basildon, Councillor Jill Reeves, Lady Chairman of Essex County Council, Councillor Ron Woodley, Mayor of Southend-on-Sea, Councillor Nigel Folkard, Deputy Mayor of Southend and Lesley Batchelor CBE.
A citation from His Majesty The King was read out by Mr Philip Tolhurst and guests included many of Atlantic Pacific Global Logistics employees, Atlantic Pacific Group Directors, suppliers, partners, customers, friends and families along with representatives from some of the charities and community groups we support.
The event represented the official awarding of the accolade, which was announced on May 7th, and followed two official receptions in July to celebrate the winners. One of which took place at Windsor Castle hosted by His Majesty The King, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent, where Christine represented the company.
A rigorous and demanding government auditing process preceded the award announcement, during which Atlantic Pacific demonstrated an excellent compliance record with HMRC, strong environmental and governance practices, outstanding acceleration in overseas revenue, and substantial year-on-year growth.
