As we fast approach the end of another very challenging year in logistics, we are trying to look ahead optimistically for 2022 as a business.
It is unlikely there will be immediate improvement in the congestion, delays and equipment issues that have plagued global supply chains during the past year or two.
However, we remain hopeful that we will be over the worst of it by half way through next year. Even in this extremely difficult last quarter, there are small signs that some areas of the industry are becoming more adept at working around the extreme challenges that Covid has brought.
For Atlantic Pacific, it has been a year of delivering endless news of delays and disruption, which has taken its toll on the team at times. But we have also had some fantastic achievements to be proud of.
The year started with us winning the BIFA Ocean Services Award, which was a fantastic accolade for us. We have also overseen substantial growth in our European Division, adding many new team members and extending our service offering.
Of course, playing a pivotal role in the ‘Hares About Town’ and ‘Gratitude’ public art displays, by providing significant support and free logistics, was a major highlight for us this year. The two projects raised well over half a million pounds for charities, engaging over one million people in the process.
So, we are looking forward to this festive season. While it is essential for us all to be aware of the new Covid threat, at this point it looks like we will get the chance to spend Christmas with our loved ones in the UK.
Therefore, please allow us to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a Very Merry Christmas, along with a Happy and Safe New Year!
Sincerely,
The Directors and Staff of
ATLANTIC PACIFIC GLOBAL LOGISTICS
