Southampton Port Closed Due To Incident

Operations at the Port Of Southampton have been suspended due to an incident on the ABP Dock Road, which we understand has been caused by fog.

There is currently no update on when operations will resume, but it is not expected to be until the end of the day at the earliest.

Current collections and deliveries of containers have also been cancelled, through the Port’s VBS booking system, until at least 17:00.

Port authorities have asked that no drivers are sent to the terminal, as the approach road is currently closed. Drivers already on the dock may also be delayed as the port works to release them as soon as possible.

This is likely to impact container deliveries from the port during the next couple of days.

Atlantic Pacific are monitoring the situation very closely, if you are concerned about any specific deliveries, then please do not hesitate to contact one of the team.
