Typhoon To Hit Eastern China Sunday

Typhoon “In-fa” is expected to make landfall in Eastern China this weekend, which has led to the early closure of Shanghai and Ningbo in-gates.

Forecasters are warning that the typhoon could reach ‘Super Typhoon’ status as it continues to build, and expect up to 12 inches of rain to fall.

Ningbo has already closed gate-in operations and Shanghai will be following suit from 6am tomorrow (Saturday) morning.

The arrival of the typhoon could mean delays and/or omissions, which will not become apparent until after the weekend.

Heavy rain has already been impacting China this week – in Zhengzhou, the equivalent of a year’s average rainfall has just fallen in three days.

As ever, Atlantic Pacific continue to work diligently to mitigate supply chain disruption during these extremely difficult times. Should you require further information on the above, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
