Weather Warning – Storm Barra Update

Storm Barra is currently impacting logistics in Ireland and parts of the UK, with winds of up to 80 mph.

The storm is expected to arrive in the South of the UK this afternoon, and Felixstowe Port has already issued a weather warning and advised that winds are expected to exceed their safe working limit.

Therefore, they have cancelled bookings for later in the day, which is likely to impact collections and deliveries through the port in the next 24/48 hours. Southampton and London Gateway may follow, although there are no announcements thus far.

**Update 13:30pm – Southampton have suspended operations.

Ireland has been dealing with the impact of the storm since early this morning, resulting in the closures of Belfast, Dublin and Cork ports, along with flight and ferry cancellations.

The Atlantic Pacific team are continuing to monitor the situation closely. If you require further information, or are concerned about current shipments, then please do not hesitate to contact one of the team..
