Yangtze Delta Area Factory Shut Downs

Covid outbreaks in China have led to regional lockdowns, which include factory closures, in the Yangtze Delta area.

Production has been suspended indefinitely at factories within the commercial hub, which includes the cities of Ningbo, Shaoxing, and Hangzhou.

Zhejiang authorities announced this week that the province will be under strict travel control, preventing people from traveling in and out until March next year.

There have also been additional restrictions placed upon transport, which is currently resulting in a hike in transport costs, which in some cases has tripled during the past week.

The Atlantic Pacific team are continuing to monitor the situation closely. If you require further information, or are concerned about current shipments, then please do not hesitate to contact one of the team.
